PROJECT: Review of the practical implementation of EU Occupational Safety and Health Directives

Client/Funder: European Commission

Brief summary of work: Assessing the implementation and current and future relevance of the OSH Directives, relative to new research/scientific knowledge, changes in worker demographics, new and emergent risks and environments. The project also seeks to identify possible improvements to the operation of the directives across the EU. This will represent the third review in five years and takes account of past reviews conducted. The project integrates consideration of subsequent EU national legislative developments and member state practical implementation reports (submitted COP 2023).

The project will enhance relevance and ease of implementation of OSH directives across the Member States expected to apply them and thereby improve/protect human health as a result.
