Dr Miranda Loh

Director of Growth, Scientific Engagement and Innovation

Miranda Loh is Director of Growth, Scientific Engagement and Innovation at the Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM). She leads the Growth and Innovation Team at IOM. She develops our research capabilities in hazardous substances exposure assessment, health and wellbeing at work, and air pollution and the built environment’s impact on human exposure and health.
Her topics of research include; air pollution exposures, personal level exposures, indoor and outdoor air pollution, sensor use for risk management, effectiveness of facemasks in protecting against particles. She has also done evaluations of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the environment, and risks of Covid-19 environmental transmission in the workplace. Additional projects include creative methods for engaging the public and stakeholders in environmental health issues.
She has worked on projects in the USA, Asia, and Africa.
