An extraordinary achievement

Over the last 50 years, IOM has made a unique contribution to understand the causes and effects of ill health at work, in the environment, and to provide solutions to mitigate these risks. IOM’s work has been published in thousands of papers, reports, books, conferences and articles. It has been used to develop international standards, government policy and industrial practice, creating impact and demonstrating science with purpose.

This has been delivered through the extraordinary efforts of more than one thousand individuals, many of whom have devoted the greater part of their working lives to deliver this work and without whom nothing would have been achieved. IOM’s success is due to all of the staff, past and present. Congratulations all.
