A landmark publication identifying challenges in nanoparticles

IOM was appointed by the Woodrow Wilson Center, a US based think tank, to develop a position paper on health issues relating to nanoparticles. The paper, bringing together the views of an international group of experts, identified a series of grand challenges to address risks faced by nanotechnology, was published in the prestigious science journal, Nature.

This was the second time IOM had been featured in Nature, with the publication providing highly influential in setting the nanosafety research agenda internationally for the next decade.
