Carbon nanotube composites: Benefits and precautions
Firstly, the potential of carbon nanotubes as composite reinforcements has been studied
through Raman analysis of an ideal double-walled nanotube system. Secondly,
preliminary studies have shown that the potential health hazards from nanotube powders
depends on the nanotubes’ morphology, giving the possibility that the risks can be
minimised through design.
