The pneumoconioses

The paper discusses those pneumoconioses resulting from exposure to non-fibrous mineral dusts, but excludes asbestos-related disease and organic pneumoconioses. The aetiology of pneumoconioses is outlined. Clinical and pathological features of coalworkers pneumoconiosis are given as well as the epidemiology, prevention and management of it. Silicosis is also described under the same headings. Other mineral pneumoconioses are also outlined. 3 refs
