Pneumoconiosis Field Research: Environmental conditions at Vane Tempest Colliery, 1980/81
This report tabulates the annual respirable dust concentrations at Vane Tempest Colliery for the period April 1980 to March 1981.Information regarding seams worked, outputs, method of working, dust control and manpower, together with the associated dust concentrations is presented in a series of face charts. Compositional results will be reported later.The mean total dust concentration was about six times that of the respirable dust concentration.At Vane Tempest Colliery the coalface mean respirable dust concentration was 2.6 mg/m3.
