This report tabulates respirable dust concentrations and compositions at Coventry Mine for the period April, 1972 to March, 1973. Information regarding methods of working, outputs and manpower is also given. The mine had a coalface mean respirable dust concentration of 5.0mg/m3. The mean ash content of the respirable dust was 36.6 per cent and the mean quartz content 3.7 per cent (concentration of O.19mg/m3).Total dust concentrations are tabulated and, on average, were seven times as high as the respirable dust concentrations.
