Pneumoconiosis Field Research: Environmental Conditions at Lady Victoria Colliery, 1969
This report tabulates respirable dust concentrations in mg/m at Lady Victoria Colliery, in the Lothians Coalfield, for the period October,1968 to March 1970.concentrations of respirable dust are listed, together with ash and quartz concentrations for each face site.For the colliery, which was mechanised, the coal face mean respirable dust concentration was 3.2 mg/m3. The mean ash concentration was 1.02 mg/m3 and the mean quartz concentration (9.5 per cent in sample) 0.30 mg/m3.Information regarding methods of working, outputs and manpower is also given.
