Ventilation Training

We can make arrangements with expert training groups for full Competent Person Ventilation training and undertake a shorter ventilation maintenance course for maintenance staff.

CP COURSE – 3 DAYS

This course is intended to help engineers gain the skills and knowledge required to become a Competent Person (Ventilation), CP (V). Although attendance on this course may be a factor, any appointment to CP (V) is based on individual skill levels and specific knowledge of the relevant ventilation systems.

Our training can be carried out at your location or hospital.

On successful completion of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the purpose of ventilation systems
  • Explain the meaning of ventilation terminology
  • State the function of system components
  • Identify ventilation system components
  • Recognise correctly/incorrectly installed or maintained components
  • Measure airflows and pressures
  • Conduct air handling unit (AHU) and theatre suite audits (depending on theatre availability)
  • Correctly carry out planned protective maintenance (PPM) including filter changes and checks on: AHU condition; belt tension; glass traps; battery condition and damper operation
  • Perform critical system verifications (depending on system availability)
  • Locate information in HTM 03-01
