Rebecca Canham
Principal Scientist Human Factors
Rebecca is a Principal Scientist at IOM and Registered Health Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. She has over 12 years research, training and consultancy experience spanning a variety of safety critical and high hazard industries, including healthcare, transport, utilities, energy and emergency services. Rebecca has designed, and implemented a wide range of research projects drawing on qualitative, quantitative and mixed method approaches. Project examples include research into workplace transmission of the COVID-19 virus within the food processing, energy production, close contact retail settings; cross-industry research exploring organisational approaches to supporting worker wellbeing; and consultation to inform development and finalisation of health related guidance documents. Much of her work has sought to enhance understanding of human behaviour in the context of public health or a given occupation.
