Workplace Noise Monitoring
Do your employees use noisy power tools or machinery each day?
If your employees are exposed to loud machinery on a regular basis or must raise their voices to carry out a normal conversation for at least part of the day then they could be at risk. Noise-induced hearing loss is the most commonly reported occupational disease in Europe.
Organisations must assess and identify measures to remove or reduce risks from noise exposure in the workplace so that employees’ hearing is protected.
Regulations recommend that both high and low risks should be managed using a prioritised environmental noise monitoring risk assessment and control action plan.
