IOM senior scientist, Dr Ioannis Basinas, awarded Thomas Bedford Memorial Prize
Senior IOM scientist Dr Ioannis Basinas led the study that observed a reduction in dust exposure to farmers through the implementation of a simple intervention based on information regarding their actual exposure levels and general exposure reduction measures.
The winning paper “Feedback on measured dust concentrations reduces exposure levels among farmers” was co-authored by; Torben Sigsgaard, Jakob Hjort Bønløkke, Nils Testrup Andersen, Øyvind Omland, Hans Kromhout, and Vivi Schlünssen. The prize will be awarded at next year’s OH2019 conference in Brighton.
