Sharing specialist knowledge – A collaboration with The World Health Organisation
From 1995-2023 IOM was recognised as an official World Health Organisation (WHO) collaborating centre for Occupational Health. This accolade is bestowed to institutions of high scientific and technical standing that have already attained international recognition and who are willing to work with the WHO to further its programme and objectives of improving health.
With many of the activities undertaken at IOM being in line with the WHO global plan of action, several projects including the long-standing hazards of asbestos, air pollution and nanotechnology risks have been delivered to the WHO.
