Returning to the 9 to 5 after beating Cancer
Funded by the Institute of Safety and Health, IOM are currently undertaking a project assessing the issues of occupational health and safety surrounding the return to work for those who have recently been treated for cancer.
The subsequent results and findings from the project will be used to inform case studies and guidelines for the best practice in managing those returning to work, and how to manage the hazards associated with this return to work.
A key initial finding from the project indicates the important role that supporting those employee’s returning to work has had on their long term wellness and wellbeing.
